UMD     FPE





Jignesh D. Maun (M.S. 2006) has received the 2006 Outstanding Student Presenter Award from the Combustion Institution Central States Section. This award is for his May 23, 2006, presentation in Cleveland of "Thin Filament Pyrometry with a Digital Still Camera." His co-authors on the paper are P.B. Sunderland and D.L Urban. This work stemmed from his M.S. thesis in the Deparment of FPE at UM. Mr. Maun is the first graduate student of Assistant Professor Peter Sunderland. In June Mr. Maun accepted the position of Fire Protection Engineer at RJA in Walnut Creek, California.
